Where to Start?

There is a classic line in one of the songs in the movie "The Sound of Music" ... not that I'm a huge fan of the movie =)

Julie Andrews sang, "Let's start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start" ... sounds kind of obvious doesn't it?!? How often do you start somewhere in the middle and then have to go back and do the things that you should have done at the start? We all wish we could actually start at the end ... wouldn't it make things so much easier!?

So ... let's start at the beginning. What are we looking for? Financial freedom! But hang on a minute ... what is financial freedom? More importantly ... what is financial freedom to YOU? Everyone has a different idea of what financial freedom means to them but I will give you the meaning of it in the context of wealth creation ...

"Financial freedom is having enough passive income

generated by your assets to do anything you

want to do and having the time to do it"

Passive income is income that is generated by your assets such as property and shares, not income that you get for doing a job.

What do YOU want to do? Travel, fish, play golf, spend time with your family, do volunteer work, start or support a charity? Whatever it is you want to do you need to have the TIME to do it. How can you get the time you need? By building up your passive income to a point where you don't have to do any more of that awful four-letter word stuff ... WORK!!!

How much passive income do you need? Well that depends on what it is that you want to do and how much it is going to cost. So the first step on your path to wealth creation and financial freedom is to set some goals ... work out what it is that you (and your partner and/or family) want to do.

It only takes small steps to get to where you're going. Follow these steps to start on your own path to financial freedom.
